In Ancona, the XVI National Conference on Corrosion and Protection brought together the scientific, technological, and professional excellence of the sector. For three days, the event offered discussion and exchange on the dynamics of corrosion and protection of metallic materials. Jointly organized by AIM, APCE, AMPP, and the Marche Polytechnic University, the Conference was held at the University’s Faculty of Engineering from June 25 to 27, 2025.
As a key player in the sector, the CSM TUBE team actively participated in this Conference. Aimed at a highly specialized audience, composed of university professors, researchers, and associates from centers of excellence, the event allowed CSM TUBE to contribute by presenting research findings and case studies on these important topics.
CSM TUBE’s Presentation: Sustainable Innovation in Stainless Steel
The opening session featured a presentation by Dr. Capelli from Centro Inox, who outlined the association’s activities, with particular emphasis on promoting steel usage and themes of sustainability and recycling.
A particularly noteworthy moment was the presentation by our experts, Luca Grespan and Giosuè Tormena, who joined a panel of case study presentations on “Corrosion and Protection,” alongside other key industry players such as Valbruna and Swiss Steel.
CSM TUBE’s presentation focused on an innovative and sustainable solution: the replacement of carbon steel (iron) with stainless steel for the production of radiant panels and the heating of industrial and civil buildings. Specifically, after an overview of CSM TUBE’s corporate structure, demonstrating its solidity and focus on innovation, the intrinsic properties of stainless steel were then explored in depth. Unlike carbon steel, it does not require additional protection for its use, offering significant advantages in terms of sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
The presentation concluded with an open discussion moderated by Dr. Capelli, fostering a fruitful exchange of ideas.
