“Ecosystem restoration” the theme of the World Environmental Day 2021. On 5th June 2021 will be launched the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021 – 2030 designed to prevent, halt, and reverse the loss and degradation of ecosystems worldwide and to restore the relationship human - nature.
The year 2030 is also the deadline for the Sustainable Development Goals. They are included on the Agenda 2030, adopted by all Members of the United Nations in 2015 for avoiding the worst impacts on climate change.
Today, progress is being made in many places, but, overall, action to meet the Goals is not yet advancing at the speed or scale required.
At CSM GROUP we asked ourselves what role we could play and how we could include ourselves in such complex issues. However, upon greater reflection, we realized that without the contribution and commitment of the private sector, and of all those working for private companies, it would be impossible to transform some of the principles contained in the 2030 Agenda into a concrete reality.
