On April 15, 2026, at Tube 2026 in Düsseldorf, CSM TUBE took part in its first official trade fair event, marking an important moment of discussion and exchange on the future of the stainless steel tube industry. The event opened with greetings from Elisabetta Trolese, President of CSM GROUP, who retraced the Group’s 45-year history alongside her brother Marco Trolese, highlighting a journey shaped by growth, evolution and shared achievements. Oliver Degen, CEO of the German subsidiary, then outlined the strength and reliability of CSM TUBE, which today serves more than 70 countries worldwide with an annual production of 90 million meters of stainless steel tubes. A solid position built on expertise, continuous investment and a culture of excellence, further reinforced by the IATF certification.
Applied Research and the University of Padua: Innovation Becomes Tangible Value
The contribution of Professor Andrea Ghiotti from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padua demonstrated how applied academic research represents a concrete driver of innovation for CSM TUBE. The project presented focuses on the overall improvement of stainless steel tube forming, through enhanced workability, tighter dimensional tolerances and advanced welding solutions. These developments allow high quality standards to be maintained even when processing high-yield-strength alloys and critical tubes. A forward-looking vision aimed at process stability, consistent quality and the integration of smart technologies, delivering direct value to customers across all application sectors.
Operational Efficiency and Smart Logistics Serving the Customer
The event also highlighted the importance of ongoing evolution in production and logistics processes, with particular attention given to the use of longer-length coiled tubes to reduce operational interruptions. The solutions developed in collaboration with CSM MACHINERY—from winding systems to intelligent tube marking—help reduce scrap and improve overall efficiency, while ensuring consistent quality and full product traceability. The new robotic testing, designed to raise safety standards and optimize the handling of large coils, was also introduced.
